Before meeting with the employees, take some time to understand the company’s culture. As an outsider, you might approach some things differently than the previous owners have. It is important that you make a good first impression.
Your first impression is incredibly important. When speaking with the employees, act like a leader. Ensure them that even though you are new management, you will still work with them to achieve a common goal. Most importantly, do not speak poorly on the original owners. Most business deals often succeed or fail based upon how well a new owner is able to connect with employees. The main thing to remember is work with your new employees to creative a productive environment to drive the company forward post-closing.
